We are nothing without our hearts

  • Drinking: Coke Zero

This is a facebook message that i sent to chelsea and lydia that i wanted to post about, but i'm too lazy to write all this out again, so i'm just pasting it here.

Btw, I went to this awesomecool thing at the science center where they have dead people embalmed in plastic with all their skin taken off. there are some skeletons, some people with only their capillaries left, and they have good examples of muscles, healed bones, etc.

Yes, I know it sounds freaking scary and gross, but it was actually REALLY FREAKING COOL. They left on the private parts, though, and there are alot of guys in the exhibit. I may be a complete pervert, but there is a line that i draw and don't cross. I try not to look if the person is dead and naked with their skin scraped off and on display for the public eye to point at, etc. And yes. Call me a weirdo, but every time i passed a display with a full human on display, i said thank you to their bodies in my head. Especially the ones that had their eyes still in their head.

one thing, though. Holy SHIT, do you have A WHOLE FREAKING LOT of capillaries in your thighs, upper arms, and especially in your head. ESPECIALLY. They had a guy on display with only the capillaries left of him, and his head was completely red because of it.

and again... call me a freak, but i was looking at the different nose structures, eyes colours of these dead people on display, and i think it would be a really good experience for someone who is racist. You know, because without your skin, you look the same as everyone else of your gender does.

p.s.

I regretted not bringing my camera or sketchbook, because they arranged some of the people very artistically. I didn't actually see it in the display of peoples, but there was one display that they made where it was a man with his muscles displayed riding a horse with it's muscles displayed, but the man was holding the horse's brain. Quite symbolic of a broken-in horse, eh?
